Telegenetics Training Opportunity

Registration is NOW OPEN for the Midwest Genetics Network Telegenetics Certification Training Program.

As you may know, MGN is collaborating with Heartland Genetics Network and the Upper Midwest Telehealth Resource Center to offer two training opportunities this year. The training includes six hours of pre-work modules and a one day in-person workshop, which will be held at the RIHC Sim Center in Terre Haute, IN. There is no cost to attend the training, and MGN reimburses participants for travel expenses.  CEU credits are offered.

The schedule for the trainings is:

May 14, 2019                      for Geneticists and Genetic Counselors

May 15, 2019                      for Genetic Counselors and Genetics Counseling Students

We are pleased to announce that Brad Schaeffer, MD, FAAP, FFACMG will be conducting a special session on May 14 for physicians. In addition to utilizing telegenetics himself, Dr. Schaeffer has been active in increasing access to telegenetics at both the regional and national levels. Space is limited, so I encourage any physicians interested in this opportunity to register as soon as possible! The registration deadline is March 22, 2019. Applicants will be notified by April 5^th of their acceptance into the training.
